Equipment List


  • 12 in. skillet

Ingredients


  • 1/4 c canola oil
  • 1 medium onion
    - finely chopped
  • 1/2 c chopped carrots
  • 3 chicken thighs
    - diced into small bite sized pieces
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c cabbage
    - chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
    - crushed or diced into small pieces
  • 1 Tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3-4 c cooked white rice
    - cook rice separately
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce

Preparation Instructions


  • Dice onions
  • Dice carrots
  • Thinly slice cabbage
  • Dice chicken into small bite sized pieces
  • Separately cook white rice according to your packages directions so you end up with 3-4 cups of cooked rice
  • Prepare all other ingredients and set aside.

Cooking Instructions


  • Preheat to 397°F
  • Add 1/4 c canola oil to pan
  • Add 3 chicken thighs to pan
  • Add 1/2 c chopped carrots and 1 medium onion to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 1 c cabbage to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Push ingredients to one side of pan
  • Add 3 eggs to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 3 cloves garlic and 1 Tbsp ginger paste to pan
  • Add 2 Tbsp oyster sauce to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 3-4 c cooked white rice to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 3 Tbsp soy sauce to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add additional soy sauce to taste
  • Remove ingredients from pan

Finishing Instructions


  • Garnish with chopped green onions

    Family loved it. Oyster sauce gave it a good flavor. I did use more chicken thighs than the ingredients called for which kind of made the chicken boil instead of fry. Will use a bigger pan next time.
