Equipment List
- Bowl
- Ramekins - 4 to 6 depending on size
- Sieve or fine mesh strainer
- Pitcher
Ingredients
- 1 c milk
- 2 tsp unflavored gelatin- or 0.25 oz packet
- 1-1/2 c heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 c granulated sugar
- 1 pkg dark chocolate morsels- 10 oz bag
- mixed berries- for garnish
- mint leaf- for garnish
Preparation Instructions
- Measure ingredients. Set aside.
- Combine milk and gelatin in a small bowl. Let gelatin soften for 10 min.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 128°F
- Add 1-1/2 c heavy cream to pan
- Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract to pan
- Add 1/4 tsp salt to pan
- Add 1/4 c granulated sugar to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Bring to a simmer.
- Add gelatin mixture
- Add 1 pkg dark chocolate morsels to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Stir till all chocolate morsels are melted
- Remove from heat
Finishing Instructions
- Pour mixture through a sieve or fine mesh strainer into a pitcher.
- Pour mixture evenly into ramekins.
- Chill Panna cotta in refrigerator for at least 4-6 hrs.
- Top with whipped cream and fresh berries and a mint leaf.
