  • Heavy bottom Dutch oven
  • Spatula

Ingredients


  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion - diced
    - about 1 cup
  • 5 cloves garlic
    - minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 lb pkg collard greens
    - torn into 1” pieces, removing all tough stems
  • 2 c chicken stock
  • 1/4 tsp salt
    - optional to taste

Preparation Instructions


  • Cut up ingredients to correct sized pieces
  • Make sure all ribs (stems) are removed from collard greens

Cooking Instructions


  • Preheat to 287°F
  • Add 1 Tbsp olive oil and 1 medium yellow onion - diced to pan
  • Stir ingredients

  • Add remaining 1 lb pkg collard greens to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients

  • Add 2 c chicken stock to pan
  • Stir ingredients

  • Remove from heat
