Equipment List
- Large pot or Dutch oven
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 c onions- diced small
- 4 cloves garlic- minced
- 1 c vodka
- 1 1/2 c chicken broth
- 28 oz can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp crushed red chili flakes
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 3/4 c heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp basil- chopped
- 1 Tbsp parsley- chopped
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 95°F
- Add 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp olive oil to pan
- Add onions
- Stir until soft & translucent
- Add 1 c vodka to pan
- Cook until reduced
- Add 4 cloves garlic to pan
- Saute until fragrant
- Add 1 1/2 c chicken broth to pan
- Add 28 oz can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes to pan
- Add 1 tsp salt to pan
- Add 1/4 tsp pepper to pan
- Add 1/2 tsp dried oregano to pan
- Add 1/4 tsp crushed red chili flakes to pan
- Add pasta
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat a bit and cook until al dente
- Add 3/4 c heavy cream to pan
- Add 2 Tbsp basil and 1 Tbsp parsley to pan
- Stir ingredients
Finishing Instructions
- Garnish with basil & shredded parmesan cheese
