    - or all-purpose seasoning of your choice
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Boursin Garlic & Herb Cheese

  • 4 Tbsp chipotle mayo
    - can use store-bought or homemade
  • Optional burger toppings
    - iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes

Preparation Instructions

  • Slice onion
  • Mince garlic

Cooking Instructions

  • Add 2 lbs ground beef to a bowl
  • Use your hand to gently break up meat
  • Wash hands
  • Add 1 Tbsp Kinders All-Purpose Seasoning to pan
  • Add 2 Tbsp soy sauce to pan
  • Add 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce to pan
  • Stir ingredients gently to fully combine
  • Section mixture into 8 equal portions
  • Gently roll each section into a ball
  • Using a sheet of wax paper, flatten each ball into a pattie, approx 1/2” thick
  • Note: You can space yours out a tad more. I was trying to keep mine all onscreen.
  • Wash hands
  • Spread 1 Tbsp of Boursin cheese on the center 4 patties, taking care not to spread all the way to the edge
  • Add one slice of sharp cheddar cheese to the patties. It is best to break the slice into 1/4’s so that you stay inside the edges of the patty
  • Place the remaining 4 patties on top of the cheese-topped patties and pinch to completely seal the edges. No cheese should be visible.
  • Set aside
  • Wash hands
  • Place skillet on burner and turn on heat to just above medium setting
  • Add 1 Tbsp olive oil to pan
  • Swirl to coat bottom of pan
  • Add 1/2 large red onion to pan
  • Saute onions, stirring occasionally as they caramelize
  • Add 2 cloves garlic to pan
  • Saute ingredients
  • Remove onions to plate and set aside
  • Carefully wipe pan to remove any remaining onion/garlic bits
  • Add 1 Tbsp olive oil to pan
  • Swirl to coat bottom of pan
  • Add burger Pattie’s to pan
  • Note: It is best if the patties do not touch. If your pan is not big enough, you can cook the patties in batches.Add and heat more olive oil in between batches.
  • Carefully flip patties
  • Note: The internal temperature of your pattie will be determine by your desired level of doneness. This recipe is for a medium-well doneness (little-to-no pink in the middle). Feel free to adjust this cooking time to accommodate your desired doneness level.
  • Remove from heat and top each pattie with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese
  • See finishing steps to assemble burgers

Finishing Instructions

  • To assemble burger, layer on top of a split Asiago bagel (or bun of choice). Top with sautéed onions, Chipotle Mayo, and lettuce and tomato, if desired.
