Homemade Maple Bourbon Syrup

Equipment List
- Heavy-bottom pot or Dutch oven
- Silicone spatula
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c water
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 2 c brown sugar
- 1/4 c honey
- 1 tsp bourbon
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp pure maple extract
Cooking Instructions
- Turn on heat to medium high setting.
- Add 1 1/2 c water to pan
- Add 1 c granulated sugar to pan
- Add 2 c brown sugar to pan
- Add 1/4 c honey to pan
- Add 1 tsp bourbon to pan
- Add 1 Tbsp butter to pan
- Stir ingredients
- As mixture comes to a boil, stir frequently.
- Reduce heat to a medium low setting so that mixture continues to boil gently.
- Stir ingredients
- Continue stirring occasionally as mixture gently boils.
- Stir ingredients
- Turn off heat.
- Add 1 tsp pure vanilla extract and 1 tsp pure maple extract to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
Finishing Instructions
- Serve over pancakes or French Toast
- Store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
