Equipment List

  • 10" non-stick skillet
  • Tong or spatula - non-stick


  • 1/2 Tbsp butter
    - 1/4 Tbsp for each side
  • 2 pieces sourdough bread
  • 2.5 oz brie
    - about 3 pieces sliced thin. Let brie get to room temperature leave on counter for about 30 minutes.
  • 1 Tbsp fig jam
    - 1/2 Tbsp for each side
  • 1/2 green apple
    - sliced thinly

Preparation Instructions

  • Prepare and measure ingredients. Set aside.
  • Prepare the grilled cheese- place 2 pieces of bread on a flat surface, place 1/2 Tbsp of fig jam on each side of bread that is facing up then put Brie cheese on one side then top with green apple slices. Place bread that only has fig jam on top of the bread with brie and jam so that all jam, brie and apples are inside of the sandwich.

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat to 299°F
  • Add 1/4 Tbsp butter and stir butter to cover the surface
  • Add assembled sandwich
  • Add 1/4 Tbsp butter and stir butter to cover the surface
  • Flip ingredients
  • Remove grilled cheese sandwich from the pan

Finishing Instructions

  • Serve immediately.
