Equipment List


  • Dutch oven or heavy-bottom pot
  • Hamburger chopper

Ingredients


  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Medium yellow onion
    - diced
  • 4 large garlic cloves
    - minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/8 c white wine
  • 4 c chicken stock
  • 14.5 oz can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
    - with juice
  • 1 cup Great Northern beans
    - with juice
  • 1 c pinto beans
    - with juice
  • 12 oz large elbow noodles
  • 1 c freshly shredded cheddar cheese
    - plus more for garnish
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley
    - minced (measure after chopping)

Preparation Instructions


  • Dice onion
  • Mince garlic
  • Shred cheese
  • Chop parsley
  • Measure & prep all ingredients

Cooking Instructions


  • Preheat to 170°F
  • Add 1 Tbsp olive oil to pan
  • Add Medium yellow onion to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 4 large garlic cloves to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 2 tsp chili powder , 1 tsp salt , 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp black pepper to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 1 lb lean ground beef to pan
  • Break up and chop hamburger with chopper as it cooks
  • Add 1/8 c white wine to pan
  • Deglaze pan
  • Add 4 c chicken stock to pan
  • Add 14.5 oz can fire-roasted diced tomatoes to pan
  • Add 1 c pinto beans and 1 cup Great Northern beans to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients

  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 12 oz large elbow noodles to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Note: Continue stirring occasionally as chili simmers and noodles cook.
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir ingredients
  • Sprinkle 1 c freshly shredded cheddar cheese over chili and allow to melt. Do not stir.

Finishing Instructions


  • Ladle into bowls and top with additional shredded cheese and parsley, if desired.
