Equipment List
- Dutch oven or large heavy-bottom pot
- Whisk
- Small mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 4 c corn, frozen or canned- If using frozen corn, thaw first. If using canned corn, drain first.
- 1 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 c whole milk
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 c heavy cream
- 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 222°F
- Add 2 Tbsp butter to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Stir frequently to avoid burning.
- Note: You are looking for a golden brown color on the butter. Use caution not to burn.
- Stir ingredients
- Add 4 c corn, frozen or canned to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 1 1/4 tsp sea salt and 1/4 tsp pepper to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 2 Tbsp sugar to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Pour flour into your milk and whisk until smooth, then add to pan.
- Add 1 c heavy cream to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Remove pan from heat.
- Add 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese to pan
- Stir ingredients
Finishing Instructions
- Top with dried parsley, if desired.
- Recipe is easily doubled or more for large crowds.
