Cajun Shrimp
Shrimp served with a classic garlic butter with some Cajun spice. The perfect comfort food with our Smoked Gouda Grits recipe.

- Plate
- Paper towel
- 10" non stick pan
- Tong
- Spatula
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 6 large shrimp- deveined and peeled. Also, pat dry.
- 1 Tbsp garlic- minced
- 1 tsp cajun spice- used Slap Yo Mama spice
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 Tbsp butter- sliced into Tbsp pieces
- 1/2 c white wine- Pinot Gris or Chardonnay
- 1 c andouille sausage- diced
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice- squeeze a fresh lemon
- parsley- chopped for garnish
Preparation Instructions
- Measure and prepare ingredients. Set aside.
- Pat shrimp dry with a papertowel.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 246°F
- Add 1 Tbsp olive oil to pan
- Add 1 c andouille sausage to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Push sausage to the side on pan
- Add 6 large shrimp to pan
- Flip ingredients
- Remove Shrimp and sausage and place on a plate. Shrimp should be seared but not fully cooked because you will be finishing the cooking of it in the sauce.
- Add 3 Tbsp butter to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 1 Tbsp garlic to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 1/2 c white wine to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 1 tsp cajun spice , 1 tsp paprika and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 1/2 tsp lemon juice to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add shrimp and sausage back into the pan
- Stir ingredients
- Remove from heat.
Finishing Instructions
- Garnish with parsley
- Enjoy immediately with grits or rice or mashed potatoes.
