Honey Glazed Carrots

Equipment List
- Zester
- Skillet
- Vegetable peeler
- Citrus juicer or reamer - if freshly squeezing orange juice
Ingredients
- 6 carrots- peeled
- 2 Tbsp plant-based butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/3 c water
- 1/3 c orange juice- freshly squeezed or store bought
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp orange zest
- salt- to taste
- pepper- to taste
- parsley- optional garnish - chopped
Preparation Instructions
- Peel carrots
- Using a zester - zest the orange peel.
- Using a citrus juicer or reamer, measure your orange juice OR you can use already made orange juice.
- Mix water and honey together. Set aside.
- Measure remaining ingredients. Set aside.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 242°F
- Add 2 Tbsp plant-based butter to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 6 carrots to pan
- Flip 6 carrots
- Add 1/3 c orange juice to pan
- Add honey and water mixture
- Add 1 tsp cinnamon to pan
- Add 1/4 tsp orange zest to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Bring to a simmer.
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Honey glazed sauce should be thick and carmelized.
- Remove from heat.
Finishing Instructions
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Optional - sprinkle parsley
