Ingredients
- 4 c apple cider
- 2 ginger- fresh, 1" whole piece and peeled
- 2 cinnamon sticks- whole
- 8 cloves- whole
- 6 cardamom pods- whole
- 4 black peppercorns- whole
- 2 star anise- whole
- 1/2 vanilla bean- 1/2 a whole vanilla bean - sliced in half lengthwise
- whipped cream- optional - topping
- ground cinnamon- optional
Preparation Instructions
- Gather and measure ingredients. Set aside.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 114°F
- Add 4 c apple cider to pan
- Add 2 ginger to pan
- Add 2 cinnamon sticks to pan
- Add 2 star anise and 8 cloves to pan
- Add 6 cardamom pods to pan
- Add 4 black peppercorns to pan
- Add 2 star anise to pan
- Add 1/2 vanilla bean to pan
- Bring cider to a boil.
- Bring cider to a simmer.
- Remove from heat.
Finishing Instructions
- Strain cider.
- Pour into mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and cinnamon.
