Peach Sparkling Iced Tea

- Fine mesh strainer
- Bowl
- Mason jar
- Spatula
- Jigger
- 8 oz cup
- 3 qt nonstick saucepan
Ingredients
- Peach Simple Syrup
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c water
- 2 peaches - pitted and chopped or sliced
- Peach Sparkling Iced Tea
- 5 oz unsweetened ice tea- freshly brewed or store bought
- 1 oz Peach Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Prosecco or Sparkling Water
- mint- for garnish
- peach slice- for garnish
- blackberries- for garnish
- ice
Preparation Instructions
- Measure and prepare ingredients. Set aside.
- If making the Sparkling Iced Tea-gather ingredients.
- Place pot on stovetop.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 280°F
- Add 1 c sugar to pan
- Add 1 c water to pan
- Add 2 peaches to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Once it boils then bring to a simmer
- Remove from heat
Finishing Instructions
- Place fine mesh strainer on top of a bowl. Stain the peaches from the syrup. Save the liquid in the bowl. You can discard the peaches in the strainer or use to top ice cream or granola or yogurt.
- Place syrup in an air tight container like a mason jar. Keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Make Sparkling Iced Tea-In an 8 oz cup, fill with ice cubes then pour 1 oz of Peach Simple Syrup. Then fill cup 3/4 way with iced tea then top with Prosecco or Sparkling Water. Enjoy!
