Grandma's Biscuits and Gravy

Equipment List
- Dutch oven or large skillet
- Hamburger chopper
- Rubber spatula
Ingredients
- 16 ounces pork sausage
- 1/2 c flour
- 4 c milk- 2% or higher
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Large can buttermilk biscuits- prepared according to package directions
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 102°F
- Add 16 ounces pork sausage to pan
- Using a hamburger chopper, mash sausage as it cooks, breaking sausage into very small pieces until cooked completely.
- Sprinkle 1/2 c flour over flour
- Stir ingredients
- Note: This step provides a thickener for the milk, and cooking it with the sausage allows the flour taste to be removed.
- Add 4 c milk to pan
- Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper to pan

- Remove from heat
Finishing Instructions
- Serve over biscuits.
- ** Note** Gravy will thicken considerably as it cools. Feel free to add additional milk (1/4 c at a time) to thin out for serving.
