Equipment List

  • 1 heavy bottomed sauce pan
  • Mixing spoon
  • Glass storage jar


  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/2 c cocoa powder
    - 100% cacao
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c water

Preparation Instructions

  • Gather and measure ingredients.

  • Fully mix cocoa and sugar together in saucepan to remove all lumps.

Cooking Instructions

  • Start heating over medium heat.
  • Stir 1/2 c water into saucepan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Add 1/4 tsp kosher salt to pan
  • Stir ingredients
  • Stir ingredients
  • Remove from heat

Finishing Instructions

  • Pour mixture into heat proof jar, wait for it to cool for 10 minutes then add in vanilla extract.
  • This will hold in the fridge for approximately 10 days. Mix into your favorite drinks for a chocolate delight.
