Ingredients
- 6 bacon slices- cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 lb ground turkey with Italian seasoning - if you can't find this at your grocery store - buy ground turkey and add 1-1/2 Tbsp of Italian Seasoning
- 1 large yellow onion- diced
- 3 cloves garlic- minced
- 4 russet potatoes- peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- red pepper flakes- to taste - a pinch is all you need
- salt- to taste
- pepper- to taste
- 6 c chicken broth
- 1 tsp white wine- Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio
- 6 c kale- washed, stems removed, and leaves chopped
- 1 c heavy cream
Preparation Instructions
- Measure and prep ingredients. Set aside.
- Place a papertowel on a plate. This will be used to put cooked bacon pieces on later.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat to 376°F
- Add 6 bacon slices to pan

- Remove the bacon pieces and put on a plate with papertowel.
- Add 1 lb ground turkey with Italian seasoning to pan

- Break ground turkey into small pieces with spatula end or with a meat chopper
- Stir ingredients

- Add 1 large yellow onion to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add 3 cloves garlic to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Add diced potatoes
- Stir ingredients
- Add red pepper flakes to pan
- Add salt to pan
- Add pepper to pan
- Add 6 c chicken broth to pan
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Bring soup to a boil
- Stir ingredients
- Note: Once soup is boiling then bring it down to a simmer
- Add 1 c heavy cream to pan
- Chopped kale
- Stir ingredients
- Remove from heat
Finishing Instructions
- Seve immediately.
